A cold and bare veranda transformed with just 3 things! 🤍 Every winter, it gets so cold and my feet get freezing, so I naturally stop going to the veranda 🥶 I changed just three things without any complicated renovations, but is it even possible for it to become this cozy? 🖤 ✔️ 01. Velvet Waterproof Rug I started by laying down a rug that fit the size of the veranda. I loved the cozy feeling every time my feet touched it. With a luxurious velvet-like texture and a flat surface, it doesn't shed much dust, and since it's water-resistant, it's easy to maintain! If it gets dirty, you just wipe it lightly, and then give it a quick spin in the washing machine, so it's a rug that is truly easy to care for. ✔️ 02. Weatherstripping to block drafts in gaps Since our house has an outdoor unit room on the veranda, a lot of cold air comes in through the gaps in the door. This weather strip is designed to be attached to only one side, so it doesn't cause any inconvenience when opening or closing the door. Since the sturdy material blocks drafts even through gaps, I felt reassured just by attaching it. ✔️ 03. Tension Rod Curtain Messy-looking pipes and drains! You want to cover them up, but installing them can be a hassle, right? I simply hung a curtain on a tension rod, and it completely covered up the messy areas, reduced the cold drafts, and dramatically changed the atmosphere. No need to hammer nails or go through a complicated installation process; anyone can easily follow along and complete their winter veranda decorating! 🏡
