<MY SPECIAL ARCHIVE : CUSTOM CLOCK> An offline class is one of the moments I look forward to most while working as a Special Creator for Today's House. I had a very special time listening to the lifestyle stories that Director Jo In-hyuk of uns has accumulated over time, and creating my own custom watch. When uns' milk glass was first released, I loved the texture of the pure white glass and the font of the brand logo, so I purchased the product myself and have been using it well ever since. To think I got to meet the Director in person like this! I felt a great sense of inner delight as there were parts of his background that connected to my own life. Starting with discovering objects you love and keeping them close, learning the stories contained within them, and adding your own experiences to them—perhaps that is how taste is built up little by little. 🕘 I tried to capture my own small story in the watch I customized this time as well. These days, I feel like the days are passing by faster and faster. Especially around 9 to 11 PM, I often feel a sense of wistfulness at the thought that another day is drawing to a close. So, I wanted to transform that time into something a little brighter and more positive. I used yellow to evoke new energy instead of regret, and I tried to capture the flow of time on a clock and our lives in the spiraling shapes. My scissor work, which I hadn't done in a long time, was a bit clumsy, but I decided to leave even that as part of the result that is uniquely mine! (Please bear with me ꈍ◡ꈍ) The fact that the same object can take on completely different meanings depending on the color chosen and the story told within it. This class was a time to reflect on my tastes and to add my own reasons and stories to the things I usually liked vaguely. The moment I completed that one-of-a-kind clock was wonderful, but the joyful time I spent with the creators I hadn't seen in a while and with the new people I connected with also remains a precious memory.
