Two years ago, while doing a DIY interior renovation without hiring a contractor, I don't know what I was thinking... but I regretted it ever since I didn't extend the wide, south-facing veranda. Later, wanting to use it as a playroom and reading space for my child, I laid down a play mat to match the floor level of the living room. Thanks to that, the living room became an extension that felt like one, but not quite an extension... though the interior window frames gave off a subtle sense of claustrophobia ㅠㅠ... Also, my child loves swings, so I made and installed one myself, but I'm constantly worried they might bump into the inner window. Most importantly, while rearranging the kitchen layout, I built a low partition wall, which made the living room look a bit cramped ㅠㅠ. So!!! If I replace it with a folding door, I think I can experience the open, spacious feeling of the living room's true nature. I want to take this opportunity to make up for the painful mistake of my DIY renovation... and be gifted a safe playground and a spacious living room!
