I'm not in the corner of the room(?) but in the veranda photo zoneㅎㅎㅎ I live in a 17-year-old apartment with a wide veranda (450cm x 200cm), and the floor and the sash frame color are all walnut, so I wanted to add some sophistication with white rectangular tiles. It was my first time doing self-tiles, so I had a hard time, but I was so proud when I finished it. But the cushions and plants obscure everything under the blinds, and oh my goshㅋ The bottom of the blinds and the two corner walls originally had wooden? mop holders, but I was worried that water droplets would collect on the tiles, along with the MDF mop holders underneath, whether it was due to condensation in the winter or because the sash caulking wore out. So I took it off boldly and, as I was worried, I saw white mold and the condition was really badㅠㅠ After removing all the mop holder residues cleanly and flatly, I applied exterior putty to the existing mortar marks and just in case, I used pressed cement to attach the tiles. (I heard that Tilebond Serafix 7000 dissolves in water, so I only used it when attaching the white painted wall in the corner) Then I applied dove-colored mortar and that's it! ❎ Tip from someone who has experience with self-tiling It is very, very important to scrape off all the pressed cement or tile bond that has pushed up to the mortar and secure the mortar. (Be sure to wear a dust mask and be careful of toxic chemical powderㅠ) Tile cutting was also a critical moment, and the cutter I bought for about 18,000 won had a blade that wore out too quickly. So I barely cut it diagonally and broke it, and attached the piece of poop right below the sash. If you look down, the cut shapes are so funnyㅎ But if you just look, you can't see it, so everyone was surprised. Didn't you leave it to a professional?ㅋㅋ The gaps between the joints are different, and it's obvious that a beginner did it... But it feels good to hear the encouragement. I'll do better next time, right? ※ The sash is fine now, but I heard that if the apartment is over 20 years old and you have to replace the sash, the tiles underneath will break and you'll have to redo them. So I boldly tried to do the rectangular tiles that I've been wanting to do myself. Hmm.. It wasn't as easy as it says, but the sense of accomplishment is amazing! I think I'll try adding a brick wall to the other veranda. I tried to give it a fusion hanok feel with the lighting and tea table, and I hope the tone and mood go well together. Thank you for reading to the end:) #방구석포토존 #월테리어 #셀프타일시공 #베란다꾸미기프로젝트
