This is the view of the kitchen and entrance from the living room. I really agonized over the kitchen. I wanted to install the island facing the living room, but thanks to the bulky refrigerator I bought early in my marriage, no layout worked out. (Why didn't I consider built-in appliances back when we were newlyweds? ㅠㅠ) Although I gave up on the layout I really wanted, I installed the island cabinets to perfectly fit the width of the pillar to make the kitchen look a bit wider. I also tiled the kitchen up to the pillar to make the space appear more expansive.
