I installed an IKEA shoe cabinet on the wall that you can see right when you enter the hallway - It was a very shallow and ambiguous space, so it was hard to find a dresser or console that fit the size, but the IKEA shoe cabinet fit perfectly, so I plan to use it as a storage unit, a place to put vases, and picture frames. I put socks and eco-bags in the upper compartment, and I store light items that the baby can open and touch in the lower compartment. I put baby carriers that were lying around everywhere in one compartment, and I store baby diapers and wet tissues in the other compartment. I like that I can store diapers neatly without them showing up here and there. I recommend this furniture to those who need a console and storage unit in an ambiguous space - However, my husband and my father had a hard time assembling it 🥹,,,,,.
