I moved to a structure where the bedroom and living room are separate. I was worried about the awkward space next to the bed, but rather than buying new furniture, I laid down the modular shelf I had at home and placed it as a bedhead. The length of the bed + the width of the modular shelf fit perfectly against the wall, so I was able to utilize the space well. 🙂
