Eames Chair Most people know that Eames chairs are a great way to get started, and I am one of them. I have already purchased three of them. Well... I have discovered that people who like furniture tend to collect chairs, and in terms of fashion, it is similar to collecting Nike shoes. They say that chairs are the smallest form of architecture, but I am still not sure about that, but I am strangely attracted to them. Sometimes, there are works that are like installation art. Anyway, as you may already know, Eames chairs are chairs designed by the couple Carles & Ray Eames, and in this post, I will talk about the mass-produced fiberglass Eames chairs that I have. (I have one DCM on my wish list.) At first, I thought they were just cheap chairs that you would find at highway rest stops, but I kept thinking about the basics, and now I have become someone who feels bad when I go into a cafe with a plastic copycat chair. What makes this guy so charming is that it has a quite interesting name system based on its base (leg), and it also comes in many colors (collectivism). It's just pretty (possessiveness). Currently, @lotian.zip has a product with DSX legs in Sea Foam Green, and although it was a bit difficult to obtain, I'm very satisfied every time I look at it. If you're considering buying one, I recommend buying a vintage product made of fiberglass rather than plastic. I think that's much prettier and more valuable. Of course, vintage products can be in bad condition because they're sometimes half a century old, and it's a bit embarrassing when guests squeak when they sit on them, but some day I should buy more chairs and put them up as art objects.
