Raising a child, I see things I didn't see before. Yellow traffic lights are one of them. When I'm alone, I can't see them, so I ignore them out of ignorance. Now that I'm with you, I realize how urgent, precious, and deeply important things are. Today, I suddenly see a yellow traffic light on my way to work, and I picture the past me that I didn't know, the present me that I'm slowly getting to know, and the future me that will forget many things again. I need to remember these things so that my future me doesn't forget them.
