It's not a veranda or a multipurpose room. It's a washing machine located in the hallway between the living room and the bedroom. It's special, special! I bought a Tromm washing machine 12kg + dryer 9kg set. I was worried that it might be too small even though it's a one-person household.. but it's amazing. These guys can easily wash and dry a comforter.
