After being hit with a management fee bomb, I bought blackout curtains in February to save on heating costs. Not only did it raise the temperature of the house by 3 degrees, but the atmosphere also became much warmer. I didn't want the blackout function, but since it's blackout, the feeling and temperature are very different when the curtains are drawn and when they are opened.
