Living with cats, I'm making a small planter with plants that are easy to grow and harmless to cats. Madagascar jasmine is a vine, so if you trim the stems upward, cats won't touch it. Palm trees need supervision because cats chew them a lot, but they grow well and are easy to grow. Orange jasmine has a really nice fragrance when it blooms. If you put one artificial flower in between, it's less noticeable and it's comfortable for me.
