This is a 6-year-old boy's room overflowing with toys and books. I used a bookshelf as a partition and put a rug behind the bed to separate it into a play area. I was worried that a high shelf on the left wall would look stuffy when the door was opened, so I separated the clothes storage box I used as a baby and changed it into a low toy storage box. The room is still a mess with overflowing toys, but there is a hidden space behind the bookshelf that is not easily visible, so when the door is opened, it looks a little cleaner.
