When remodeling my house, I only installed the lower cabinet under the sink. I just installed a drawer for more convenient storage. It's been two years, but I don't have any shortage of storage space or any disadvantages with the drawer. I think it's a great idea. The kitchen only has six drawers, but it's full of cups, bowls, pots, and even ingredients, nutritional supplements, and seasonings.
