This house only had a basic white high-gloss sink, but when we were going to tear it down and replace it, the interior designer said the sink was too new and it was a waste, so we completed the kitchen by adding film work, islands, and tall cabinets. The lower cabinets are olive and the upper cabinets are pink. The film designer said it was the first time he had seen a house with these colors, but I wanted this color so much that I asked for it. The island was raised 1m to make it easier to work and hide the clutter inside the kitchen. The dining table lamp was also pink to match the kitchen color, so it looks like a set. I put the refrigerator on the back porch, so I didn't want it to be visible through the window, so I covered it with chiffon curtains to create a feeling of being able to see but not being stuffy.
