I think many of you may be feeling the chill because of the rapidly dropping temperatures this week. So today, I'm going to tell you about my indoor planterium. The plants that were in the garden and the outdoor deck have all been brought into the greenhouse and the house since last week for wintering. Plants have different temperatures that they feel cold. For example, geraniums can winter down to about 5 degrees Celsius. Monstera needs to be kept at a minimum of 8 to 13 degrees Celsius to avoid cold damage (the optimal temperature for growth is about 16 to 24 degrees Celsius). On the other hand, olivines can withstand temperatures as low as -8 degrees Celsius. I bring the plants that are relatively vulnerable to low winter temperatures into the living room. I send the plants that are somewhat resistant to the cold to the greenhouse to spend the winter.
