There was an unused space of about half a pyeong in the corner of the duplex. It seemed like a big space to just leave empty, so I decided to decorate it so that I could study often since I had to start studying Japanese at this time and I would visit there often enough to enjoy staying in the space. I have a bit of an otaku personality, so I like to decorate each space with a separate theme. So I decided to decorate this space, which is a comic book store and study room, with Halloween + black cats! In particular, I wanted to give the feeling that all the eyes of the cat were watching me. Also, I am a nocturnal person who can concentrate well when the surroundings are dark, so I tend to study at night or in the early morning, so I wanted to focus more on the “night.” The chalkboard window on the wall is where I write down my daily study goals or important content. Since it is a duplex, the ceiling height is not very high, so I put a low table and chairs. I think my favorite item in this space is the cat blanket. Rather than decorating the room with a rug, I think it would be nice to have an item with a pretty painting or a picture that looks like a tarot card. For those who only thought of a rug as an item to put on the floor, I recommend a blanket as well! It’s also easy to wash.
