In the summer, I laid down a mat on the veranda to put a storage box for my child's toys and removed the existing dining table, but it actually made the space look bare and worse. The table was taking up too much space and was inconvenient, so I moved the 6-seater extendable table to the study and placed a small secondary desk there instead. Now that the floor is soft with the mat, it doesn't feel cold underfoot, and it's great because my child can move around freely. I hung up an acrylic painting, and the colors look even prettier when the light comes in. The veranda has become a bit smaller because of the desk, but surprisingly, the atmosphere is much better than having nothing there.. 😉
