After reading a book for a long time, I realized that there are many tools used when reading books. I didn’t read books because I wasn’t interested in them, but I got interested in the book covers, so I bought a few books and read them when I was bored. A few years ago, I got interested and started adding one or two books. As I read, I wanted to remember good sentences written in books, so I started underlining them with a highlighter, and I expanded my scope from highlighters to copying them. When I started copying, I started thinking about why I wanted to remember the sentences I wanted to remember. Today, I’m going to list some reading tools that might change again someday. 3. Magnet bookmark I bought this bookmark as a souvenir from my trip to Tongyeong. I’ve used various bookmarks, but I haven’t found a bookmark as convenient as this one, so I haven’t been able to get rid of it for years. It got wrinkled and the paper peeled off because I used it for a long time, but it’s so convenient that I can’t throw it away and keep using it. 4. Reading receipt When I liked collecting stationery, I didn’t read many books, but after I started reading books, it finally found its purpose. At first, I wrote down sentences that caught my eye in a book and stuck them in my notebook, but when I opened it again to read it, I was worried about the paper flying away, so I made a notebook for copying and attached a memo pad to the front of the book to write a review after reading it all. It’s amazing how the review changes when I read it again. 5. Questionnaire I collect a lot of things, and one of them is a questionnaire. I use it a lot when I read books or write a diary, but unfortunately, it’s inconvenient to use it on thick books, so I use it more for thin books or when writing a copy. 6. Masking tape I originally used a highlighter, but when I reread the book, the parts I wanted to mark changed, or when I underlined a shaky part, the marks danced, so I thought about it and made a line tape. I got the convenience of being able to change the stable underline and notation. 7. Copy notebook When I bought a copy notebook, I wrote the content, but I often found it inconvenient to write other content, so I made a notebook and used it. It’s good because I can freely write down the content, my thoughts about the content, or information about words I don’t know. I use these five tools, and it seems to be the perfect configuration for me right now.
