Moving from 30 pyeong (approximately 100 square meters) to 20 pyeong (approximately 66 square meters), the study room was almost forced to become the living room, so I started looking for reference materials before moving. With my second child now in elementary school, we decided to use the move as an opportunity to create a study room and TV-free living room. 🥹 So, two months of searching! There are plenty of study rooms for young children, but my children are in elementary school, and 🤔 most living rooms that have been converted into study rooms are around 30 pyeong (approximately 100 square meters). 🤔 Unable to find a photo that was perfect, I started shopping for furniture by visualizing the layout. First, the bookshelf. I thought it would be too high, so I tried mixing it with a lower one. However, storage is paramount, so moving it up was the best solution. I was thrilled to see that three 1200mm Hanssem 5x3 bookshelves fit perfectly on my 3600mm wall. I happily paid and waited for delivery. But a day before delivery, I realized there was an intercom on the wall and had to replace it immediately. As expected, a major company class 😅 Canceled before delivery. Ultimately, I placed two 1200-size units and one 800-size unit on a 3600-size wall. In the remaining 400-size space, I placed a 400-size cabinet with a door. In our 66-square-foot living room, where even the space above the bookshelf is crucial, I searched and searched for storage units. Finally, I found one with the perfect height! 🥹 I'm storing my children's items I've purchased and their creations. Second, the desk. After the bookshelf, it's the most important. The brand was simply confirmed as DooDot Air. 1400 or 1200? 🤔 After much deliberation, I decided on 1200 since she's still in early elementary school! 🫢 Next, 800 or 600? 🤔 (Ah...there are so many choices...) I'm sure there's a lot to put on the desk, so 800 would be better...but then, if I put two desks together, the aisle would be too narrow...ugh...after a few days of deliberation, I gave up and decided to buy the DooDot Quattro Air 1206! For the chair, I didn't even bother with the Sidiz Ringo~~~ I used my Hyundai Card to prepare for the move, and I had accumulated some points, so I searched...and sure enough, there it was! 😜😜 And so, the long-awaited bookshelf, desk, and chair were set up. You can't see it in the photo, but on the opposite wall, there's a storage unit for workbooks and board games left over from the bookshelf, and there's also a piano. Wow~ Everything fits into a 66-square-foot living room😍 It doesn't even look cramped! I was so proud of myself. After everything was set up, I thought it would be nice to have a space where the kids could lie down and read, so I laid down a rug next to the desk and placed a bean bag (see other photos). It's nice to be able to sprawl out and read, but it's too much, and during the day, my only places to be are at the dining table and the bed, so I decided to buy a sofa for my quality of life. This is my third sofa. I changed the sofa to a different one when I moved. Comfort is the best sofa!!!!!👍🏻 After buying the sofa, I miss the TV I had put in the master bedroom to create a study. *Regrets after living here for over half a year* 1. I should've chosen a 1400cm desk instead of a 1200cm desk. 🤭 I don't think the space would feel cramped even if I chose a larger desk. 2. I could've used two comfortable single-seater sofas or a bean bag I had at home. Or I should've bought a softer one. It's a bit hard to find a sofa in a small space, but I bought it based solely on size, so it's uncomfortable and just takes up space. #LivingroomStudy #책상과쇼파 #아이가있는집 #초등2명 #20평대서재화 #20평대거실서재화
