I couldn't find an island table that I liked, so I made it semi-self. It's my own island table that catches two birds with one stone: storage and design. I bought a ready-made island table with a focus on very simple storage and size. I cut the existing wood slab table and put it on the top. I finished the outside of the lower storage cabinet with European lacquer.
