The apartment is over 20 years old, so the bathroom was very small. I spent months worrying about whether or not to keep the bathtub. (In the end, I kept it!!) I used 600-square terrazzo tiles as an additional room tile. It's easy to clean the grout when it's wet, and it makes the room look a little more spacious! I only put in three 2-inch downlights for the ceiling lights so that they aren't too bright, and I kept the existing wall lights without removing them. I split the light switch into two, so I can adjust the brightness as needed, which is nice.
