I debated a lot between leaving the kitchen without upper cabinets to make it look wider and installing tall cabinets, but I decided to prioritize storage. I installed Hanssem tall cabinets with a matte brushstroke texture in the space where the gas stove used to be and on the wall where the upper and lower cabinets were. I think the kitchen might have looked even more spacious if I had made the tall cabinets white as well, but I chose gray for one side because the gray texture is modern.
