This is the hallway of my house :) Unlike in Korea, Germany doesn't have a designated space to take off shoes, so people usually store them in the hallway. In my previous home, I used an IKEA TV stand as an audio cabinet, but after moving to this house, I've been using it as a shoe storage unit and bank like this. (I really didn't want to put anything in the hallway, but my shoes just wouldn't stay organized ㅠㅠ) On top of the shoe rack, I keep miscellaneous items like earphones and keys in a wooden bowl I bought at a flea market. I'm also using a candle holder I bought at IKEA a while ago as a decorative object :) The plant is also from a local supermarket, and it's growing really well. Oh, and since it felt a bit too white, I always leave my frequently used Marimekko eco-bag there. The pattern is colorful, so the hallway doesn't feel boring. Next time, I'm thinking of installing a hanger to hang my favorite bags :)!
