The space I put the most effort into remodeling when we moved in was the bathroom. Although the apartment was only five years old, I really didn't like it because there were cracked tiles and it was just a run-of-the-mill brown bathroom. While looking for our new home, I told my husband that I wanted him to respect my taste, at least when it came to the remodeling. My husband wanted Bianco tiles, but since they were trending at the time, I didn't want to go with that. So, I went around visiting various places to find contractors and select the tiles myself, which is why it is the space I am most attached to. To keep it as tidy as possible, I only keep essentials out, and I store items I don't use often in a sliding cabinet.
