< My Kitchen Before & After Story > The part I paid the most attention to while renovating my home was the kitchen. It was incredibly small, and since I tend to cook and eat at home frequently, I use the kitchen a lot. I really agonized over how to design the kitchen to match my desired concept and workflow. As shown in the photo above, the original kitchen was so narrow that there was almost no countertop space between the sink and the stove. That is why installing an island was essential. I wanted a bright, open kitchen without upper cabinets like others do, but since I have so much kitchen stuff, I had no choice but to install upper cabinets for storage. To secure both storage and countertop space, I decided to have the island made as large as possible.
