Author Kim Young-ha once said that in a hotel where we stay briefly, we are perfectly free from "objects that seem to have absorbed all our sadness." He described a hotel as a place where one can lie on pure white sheets and find comfort. Since we cannot go to hotels often, our goal was to ensure that our newlywed bedroom remained a place free of sadness, a place where we could find comfort when lying down. Of course, as we live and the routines of daily life accumulate and weigh us down, we haven't been able to achieve this perfectly; yet, whenever I go out, I long to go home, and when I lie on an unfamiliar bed, I miss our own. I live in such a home. In today's bedroom, there is the beginning and end of our day, but there is also a cozy bed that encourages us every single day.
