I have been living on my own since I was a college student, and I have been looking forward to living in a spacious place. I started working last April and lived in company housing, but I found a mini two-room apartment for rent in mid-February of this year, so I am now in my second year as a completely independent office worker. I feel like I have become even more of a homebody since becoming an office worker than I was a college student. Also, I have always been very interested in interior design, so I have always decorated my space in my own way, even if I only spent a short time there. Since moving into a two-room apartment, I did the DIY painting of the walls, moldings, and doors all by myself. I purchased a HAFORS bed online and a sofa from Today's House. I also went to the IKEA Gwangmyeong store to buy lighting, a table, and a PS metal cabinet. I think I spent about 1 million won on interior design. It definitely feels cozier at night and photos turn out prettier when you have lighting. Painting was really hard, but once it was done, it looked so beautiful and I felt so proud. It was an older villa, but it felt like a brand new house. I referenced interior design ideas from blog posts, including those on Today's House. It feels like a great way for a homebody like me to live independently. Of course, since it is a Jeonse lease and I don't have much money yet, I couldn't decorate it as much as I'd like, but when I come home from work and see how beautiful and lovely my house is, and just want to stay at home, I hope others can live a life where they feel this way too. Anyone can do DIY interior design.
