The bedroom must be like a hotel! I decided to fill the sleeping space with nothing but a large bed to lay our massive bodies on and lighting. Due to the nature of my job, I travel for business more than 12 times a year and have had the opportunity to stay in a variety of hotels spanning Europe and Asia. I wanted to recreate the feeling of a hotel bedroom where one can fully rest in a cozy space after an exhausting day. I toned down the wallpaper, flooring, and background colors, built a partition wall to serve as a headboard, installed indirect lighting, and added practicality by installing light switches and USB outlets. I considered creating a symmetrical structure, but felt it might look cramped in a bedroom in the 20-pyeong range, so I added an asymmetrical variation by using different bedside tables and pendant/floor lamps on the left and right.
