It was a whole seven years after moving in that I finally mustered the courage to make a resolution to create a space of my own, filled entirely with my own taste. They say every beginning starts with decluttering, but honestly, getting rid of things was the hardest part! Still, once I finally got around to it, I was filled with excitement at the thought of filling it with my own style! This photo was taken after I had completely emptied the space and just laid down the rug I bought because I fell in love with its navy color!
