I am an art director at an advertising agency who recently moved from a mold-ridden 5-pyeong studio apartment to a newly built duplex :) I don't like turning on the lights at home, so the photos came out a bit dark. Instead, I hung lace curtains to let in soft light. Since my job involves a lot of overtime, I wanted to decorate my home to be as cozy as possible. Because the basic structure of the house is white and wood-toned, I arranged simple white or solid wood furniture to match. However, I added a Persian-patterned carpet to the floor as an accent to prevent the space from looking too plain. I tend to kill plants easily, so I'm sometimes called a "plant killer" or "serial plant murderer"... but the Monstera I found and brought home from Today's House has been growing well for three weeks now :) It's not picky and is a steady, low-maintenance friend, so we are getting along well together! I made the macramé hanging on the mirror myself, and for the tablecloth, I neatly folded up a piece of fabric I took from my previous home to use as a hanger cover.
