I set up a secondary monitor using a monitor arm. When developing, I find myself using portrait mode to see as much code as possible on a single screen. I turned on a mood light behind it to provide soft lighting. I believe work goes better when the workspace is pretty and tidy. Since my desk is quite small, I am temporarily using a foldable side table next to it. I am thinking of buying a chest of drawers to put there.
