I felt it was time to create a completely independent space for my 6-year-old. Perhaps because they slept with Mom and Dad, I hadn't really decorated their room properly before, but they love having their own space. Since my child loves yellow, I put on a mustard-colored mattress cover and an ivory duvet, and it feels like the space has become even sweeter.
