I installed a tension rod at the entrance and set up thermal curtains. Since it is a small studio apartment, I used to get really self-conscious if I heard anyone outside the front door, and I was worried that the cold air would come straight into the room in the winter. I installed them, and perhaps it's just my imagination, but the house feels cozier now, and I'm less bothered by outside noises!
