This is the small guest bathroom in the living room, and also the one our family uses most frequently. It used to be an old and messy wet bathroom, but I transformed it into a neat and tidy space. Because the space is so cramped, the layout was such that if I installed a shelf in front of the sink to hold toothbrushes, cups, and soap, I would inevitably hit my head when bending down to wash my face. So, the shelf ended up awkwardly mounted above the toilet. I was so anxious about dropping items like toothbrushes and toothpaste into the toilet every time I took them out that I needed an alternative. After much thought, I tried installing a kitchen rail, and it was perfect! The IKEA Sunnersta rail allows you to hang storage containers and hooks, so it fit exactly what I wanted. I can store all my toiletries without them sticking out, and it’s great to be able to hang the brushes and sponges I frequently use for cleaning the sink. This photo was taken because the Boston fern looked pretty when I soaked it in the sink to get a good soak. :)
