This is also an interior design project my husband did himself. We designed the interior to showcase the appliances. We chose Samsung Bespoke appliances for everything. Shall we take a look at the countertop area first? We upgraded the brightness of the cooking space by using 3-inch downlights. We used indirect lighting throughout to make the kitchen feel more spacious. For accent lighting, we added a focal point above the dining table, although it hasn't been installed yet. We installed the latest feather lights above the dining table, and used round LED accent lights above the island. We focused on creating a sense of openness rather than installing upper cabinets. That is why we paid a lot of attention to the lower cabinets. Instead of using the commonly used wooden or aluminum channels for the handles, we drilled holes in the inside of the doors to install recessed channels. Also, all doors and drawers were equipped with automatic damping mechanisms so they open and close smoothly. Choosing the color for the lower cabinets was my biggest dilemma. I wanted the appliances to stand out while also having a luxurious look, and I wanted them to be easy to clean. After carefully selecting a deep green color that isn't cliché, we installed it. We chose white marble for the countertop to pursue a sophisticated and clean look. The hood is an Island Hatz hood, and we decorated it with 300x600 terrazzo tiles for a stylish touch (the tiles are wide, so cleaning is easy). The sink is a square SQS780 from Baekjo, and we used a designer faucet. Since there are no upper cabinets, we plan to install wooden shelves on the wall behind the island dining table. It looks much wider and has plenty of storage in person, but it's a shame the photos don't capture it all. That's all for our kitchen~~
