The kid's room looks bigger when filled with gap mats, and it's great for utilizing space. I wish I had done this earlier. I like the Petit Maison folder mat because it folds in half, so it's easy to clean. If you put a piece of hardboard inside the cover and put a heavy kitchen toy on top of it, you can use it without it collapsing.
