So that it is comfortable as a 'work area' when cooking, I optimize the space in kitchen table top by utilizing backsplash wall (for spice racks or hanger rail) as well as grouping items on the table and give 'home' to the item. For example, knife holder, cutting board rack, tray for oil bottles, spatula holder etc. Finished kitchen table top set neat and spacious when used 😊
