One way I make a floor makeover on a low budget is by using a metered carpet like this. Initially, this room had an old 30x30 ceramic floor which was starting to get worse. Meanwhile, using vinyl to cover the floor was quite budget-intensive so I decided to use carpet. The use of this carpet is also inspired by the trend in apartments in Korea which are starting to use more blue/gray carpets. I chose gray to keep it neutral with the furniture and other home decor in this room. Overall, for this small room I just spent a budget of under 1 million. Not bad results, right?
