In the main bedroom, the contemporary concept in interior design does not only take modern elements. Instead, it uses old furniture that has been refinished. This dressing table is the result of a work desk makeover that was used 8 years ago. Re-coated, to look like veneer, enhanced with repaint and replacement of knobs. By taking inspiration from the mid-century furniture style, I added a round mirror to the work table which was used as a dressing table so that the vintage impression balances with the modern one. Apart from that, it is combined with local materials, namely natural rattan. This rattan is an aesthetic, natural accent in the corner of the main bedroom. The countertop area of this dressing table can be used to place decorative accessories and other art displays.
