Our kitchen has a modern industrial feel, It's quite simple with open storage shelves... some of the equipment is deliberately exposed, combined with rattan boxes for storage and some more metal storage. To give a modern impression to the counter top and back splash, we chose granite with a slightly rustic motif. The choice of stove also uses a cooktop to make it look more clean and modern. For the area under the kitchen, we chose to use a custom door made from perforated plate material (slide 3) which was painted black. Apart from being low budget, this door is suitable for areas of our house that are crawling and is also good for air circulation under the hood which tends to be damp.
