Texture and pattern are the highlights in this kitchen design, the chevron pattern on the backsplash is combined with the wood texture on the HPL cabinet and the solid surface with a terrazzo pattern on the countertop. Contrast settings are needed so that the patterns do not collide with each other, so they are still pleasing to the eye even though they have different patterns. In this design, the highest contrast is the ceramic backsplash, followed by the cabinets and countertops. The kitchen design is dominated by closed cabinets so that they appear tidier and easier to maintain, while open cabinets function to place accessories as decoration so that the kitchen is not cluttered.
