This wet kitchen was one of the main focuses of the renovation of this apartment before I moved in. Previously, this kitchen was still the apartment's default kitchen which was quite old with several built-in equipment that needed to be replaced (last slide photo). Before renovating a kitchen, I think it is important to match the aesthetics to the function of the kitchen. Because my housemates and I often cook, limited space is maximized with cabinets along the kitchen area and open shelving above for easier access to kitchen spices. The cooker hood I use is left over from the kitchen of the previous owner of this apartment - even though it is old, this cooker hood is still functional and I also like the chrome finish which matches the interior of my kitchen. I chose stainless steel material for the tabletop and backsplash. Even though it is a little more expensive than materials such as solid surface or HPL, I feel that this stainless steel kitchen is a good investment because it is easy to maintain and durable. Apart from that, I chose the burl motif HPL as a grounding contrast against the stainless steel which seems cold and sterile. #KitchenStyling #IdeDekorDapur #MakeoverDapur
