My way to make the kitchen more functional is to make a kitchen that has lots of storage. At the top there are approximately 8 closed storage areas. Then on the lattice-lined shelves there are 10 closed storage areas. On the left there are 3 open shelves. At the bottom, there is a sink cupboard, pot rack, spice rack, spoon rack, gas cupboard and 1 closed cupboard. Even though you already have a lot of storage, the kitchen is bound to have items that come to the surface.
