Since our house is small, the dining room area is joined to the kitchen. We also prefer a custom kitchen island over a dining table so that it is multifunctional. So apart from being able to be used for eating, it can also be used as additional storage. Actually, I'm the plain team at the dinner table. But if there is a special event, I usually beautify it by using table runners, plate sets, and adding fresh flowers.
