The first time we knew what we wanted our home kitchen to look like was when we visited the IKEA showroom. Of all the kitchen designs available, we fell in love with one showroom where the combination of dark colors and wooden accents was dominant. Coupled with warm lighting, this kitchen is very beautiful. The biggest challenge was finding a matching table top and backsplash, but luckily it didn't take long to get it. Functionality is a major concern in the kitchen, of course. We placed the refrigerator, stove and sink on different sides to create a triangle-work-space concept. Our kitchen set extends to the ceiling to maximize storage space for lots of kitchen equipment.
