My Parents' Taste Family Room So because I still live in my parents' house, when making a shared room makeover I will consider my parents' tastes rather than my own. That's why the vibe is really different from my bedroom which is all pink. Apart from that, I also consider the color of the existing furniture, so of course it's not as free as my own bedroom which I can change the look and buy myself (if you buy it for the same house, it's expensive too)😊🫶🏻 For the living room area, I combined the colors of the existing furniture, namely a navy sofa, gray shelves, and dark brown wooden frames with a more pop up color accent, namely orange, which is of course... my parents' favorite color! Orange accents on pillows, storage and tablecloths give a fresh impression among the dark colored furniture around. Meanwhile, for the dining room & pantry area, I still maintain my parents' favorite green color. It's just that I changed the wall paint color from pandan green to classy green to make it more elegant. So that the room wasn't too dark, I only colored one side and the other side was white. Apart from that, I also matched the color of the wall shelves to the color of the existing furniture which was dark brown.
