After we got married, Paksu was determined to have his own house, even though at that time we already had our own separate annex in the area of my parents' house. After going through a survey of the sub-urban areas of Jakarta, because it was adjusted to the budget we had, the choice finally fell on buying a second house but staying in Jakarta, with the reason that we both work in Jakarta. Initially, we were confident enough to buy a house in the complex next to our current housing complex. However, at the last minute, a week before our initial plan to apply for a mortgage, Paksu finally found our house, and in the end we preferred this house. However, from the start, we planned to completely dismantle the old house and build a new house with a design using the services of an architect, because we understand that building houses is not our field of expertise.
