Since I do a lot of computer work at home, the desk has become the centerpiece of my space. Still, to make sure I can rest fully when I do, I’ve placed a footstool there and put a plant on the piano. I use a bunk bed with the bottom section as a wardrobe, so I don't have any large furniture.
