Since it is a single-family home, I don't use the kitchen that much. I only take out the necessary dishes and cooking utensils, and put all the other dishes and pots inside the cabinet. I am using the intercom box that I used before I moved in as a spice cabinet. I made it in white wood to match the overall atmosphere of the house.
